Established in 1985, LMB Textiles has grown from a modest three-person operation into a successful, environmentally conscious business, employing over 170 staff across four sites and with export partners worldwide.
LMB concentrate on collecting and sorting clothes for reuse, and they have recently been involved in various new initiatives encouraging the younger generation to recycle and reuse. They send the bras they get from us to people in developing economies like Africa to help them earn an income by selling bras.
Says managing director Ross, “Our partnership with Smalls is excellent as it provides good quality bras to our customers who sell them in markets where new bras are either not available or are too expensive for many women.”
Smalls is delighted to work with LMB. The vital funds we raise by selling bras to LMB helps us to pay the rent and electricity for our sorting premises, which allows us to continue our work. At the same time, we know that these bras are going towards helping people make a living.
