Alternative ways to help
We’d love to accept any donations you have. However, as we’re based in the UK, it would mean sending things to us here in Scotland, which isn’t ideal.
There are other ways you can help that might be easier for you – you can donate new underwear direct through Amazon http://bit.ly/wish-sfa – or donate the vital funds we need to support our work through CAF Donate – http://bit.ly/caf-smalls.
Alternatively, if you search online you may be able to find another organisation nearer you doing similar work.
Unfortunately, we can’t accept parcels that incur customs charges as we don’t have the funds to cover these. Customs charges are incurred where the value of a donation (including postage, packaging and insurance) is more than £135. These are automatically returned to sender by postal services/couriers.
EU countries (and other nearby countries)
Parcels sent from EU countries that are valued at less than £135 and that are clearly marked as ‘charity items’ – and so don’t incur charges – are delivered successfully. If you’d like to send a parcel which won’t incur charges, here’s a link to our address – http://bit.ly/underwear-sfa. Please state ‘charity items – relief claimed’ on both the parcel and its accompanying customs declaration.
Australia/New Zealand
We’ve discovered an organisation collecting underwear closer to home that you might want to check out – http://upliftbras.org.
United States
We’re aware of a couple of US-based charities that you may want to check out – http://brarecycling.com and https://freethegirls.org.
Thank you for wanting to support the work we do.
