Total underwear collected is 2,189,746

Thank you for sending us a pantastic 1,701 parcels in January.

I said last month that I was guessing we were going to be just as busy this year, and it’s certainly looking that way! We’ve given 7,305 pairs of new pants and new & gently worn bras to people in need through 9 organisations since our last Talking Pants:

We gave:

  • 350 bras to ShowerBox, an organisation providing free and secure shower space for the homeless in London.
  • 2,520 pairs of pants to The Cowshed, a charity providing support to people in times of personal crisis.
  • 250 pairs of pants to Days for Girls (Barry) to be included in their hygiene kits going to Africa.
  • 190 pairs of pants and bras to the Amuka Foundation, an organisation working with young people in Kenya.
  • 1,224 pairs of pants to The School Bank, West Lothian.
  • 492 pairs of pants and bras to MASH (Manchester Action on Street Health), a charity providing services to women working in the sex industry in Greater Manchester.
  • 850 pairs of pants to Happy Baby Community, a charity in London working with pregnant or women with young children.
  • 699 pairs of pants and bras to Anawim, a charity supporting women and girls in Birmingham.
  • 730 pairs of pants and bras to Care4Calais, Slough/Heathrow.

When we provide underwear, we ask for feedback that we can share with all of you. We feel it’s important that you know how much your donation means to those that receive it. It also gives us all a lot of joy when we see the happy faces of the people who receive your donations.

We recently provided underwear to Days for Girls’ Cuddington chapter. Days for Girls is a charity that provides hygiene kits to help women and girls manage their periods. The organisation’s Rosie Plummer told us, “This request was for women who take out the land mines left behind from the civil war in Angola. The pants that Smalls for All give us go into our hygiene kits, and the money we save by not having to buy the pants ourselves means we can reach even more women and girls with the resources they need to manage their periods for improved health, education and livelihood outcomes.”

We recently received £233.13 from easyfundraising which is pantastic! Thanks to everyone who has signed up to support Smalls by using easyfundraising – we really appreciate all of you who choose Smalls when shopping online.

As always, thank you for supporting Smalls,
Maria
