Total underwear collected is 2,492,603

Thank you for sending us a pantastic 2,639 parcels in June.

Since our last Talking Pants, we’ve provided new pants to 3 organisations:

• 1,390 pairs of pants to The Cowshed, a Berkshire based charity providing support to people in time of personal crisis.
• 2,380 pairs of pants to The School Bank, West Lothian.
• 2,565 pairs of pants to Diamonds in the Community who operate a family clothing bank for the Monklands and greater North Lanarkshire area.

Thanks to you, we were able to provide underwear recently to ViewCare Project, a food, clothing and home bank essential service in Uddingston. Following receipt of our donation, they posted: “Once again, we are truly grateful for the generosity of Maria & her Team at Smalls for All in donating over 1,500 pairs of ladies, girls’ & boys’ underpants for our Clothing Bank. We are truly blessed to be working with such a fantastic partner.”

We also welcomed Andy and Tim from the National Police Aid Charity (NPAC) at Smalls last month, who were picking up 15,000 pairs of pants! The organisation’s Helen Murray told us, “The underwear will go to pad projects in The Gambia for girls and women. Pads will enable girls to go to school throughout their menstrual cycle meaning they will not miss out on their education.”

When Smalls for All started 16 years ago, we could never have imagined the incredible community that would grow around us.

Thankfully it’s been a quieter month for underwear requests than last month – when over 31,000 items of underwear were given to people in need – as we’ve been busy preparing for a move of premises! Sadly, it’s time to move on from the Five Sisters Business Park. For the last 7 years it’s been our home and I’m going to miss many things about being in West Calder, but I’m excited and looking forward to the next chapter in the Smalls’ journey. I’m hopeful that next month I can share more about our move but, for now, it’s business as usual so keep addressing your donations to Smalls for All, Five Sisters Business Park, Westwood, West Calder EH55 8PN.
