Total underwear collected is 2,051,461
Thank you for sending us a pantastic 1,790 parcels in February.
Since our last Talking Pants, we’ve provided new pants and new and gently worn bras to 2 organisations:
- 965 pairs of pants and bras to Care4Calais, Withey and London.
- 10 pairs of pants and bras to the Knightsridge Adventure Project, an organisation based in Livingston supporting children in the local community.
We thought you’d like to hear this lovely feedback from ShowerBox, a charity in London providing showers to the hidden homeless. “Thanks to Smalls for All, we’ve been able to give our guests new underwear as they leave the showers, which makes a massive difference as there are so few places for them to wash their clothes. Smalls for All saves ShowerBox hundreds of pounds each month, which means we may reserve any funds raised for running other aspects of the project, and helps us to keep giving showers and enabling vital self-care to those in need.”
A big thanks to Y.O.U Underwear who have donated 7,718 pairs of new pants thanks to their ‘buy 1 donate 2’ initiative. We love receiving new pants, and a bumper load like this – 18 boxes – will make the most amazing difference, especially in light of the drop in donations we’re experiencing because of the cost-of-living worries everyone is facing just now.
Big thanks also to everyone who sends us photos, videos and notes when they send us donations (of underwear or funds) – they’re always lovely to see! The photo below shows the lady bellringers of St Leonard’s Church who kindly collected and donated £80 for Smalls for All to mark International Women’s Day.
Smalls for All is hosting a Spring Fair on Saturday 22 April in the British Legion in Bathgate from 11am till 3pm. For those local to West Lothian, please pop in to see us as there will be a range of brand new items, e.g. swimwear, lingerie, sportswear, along with 20 other stallholders who would all be pleased to see you as well!
Thanks, Maria
