Total underwear collected is 2,412,080

Thank you for sending us a pantastic 1,684 parcels in August.

We celebrated International Day of Charity by taking a moment to reflect on the incredible power of giving whether through donations, volunteering, or simply spreading the word. Since we started in 2010, Smalls for All has grown from a simple idea into a charity that’s provided over 2.4 million items of underwear to women, children and men across Africa and the UK. We’ve seen firsthand the difference that access to something as basic as underwear can make, restoring dignity, improving health, and giving people confidence to go about their daily lives. It was also a chance to celebrate our supporters, partners and volunteers. Without your kindness and generosity, none of this would be possible. Every donation, every fundraiser, every shared post helps us reach more people and change more lives. Charity truly is a collective effort – and we’re so proud of what we’ve achieved together. Here’s to continuing this journey and making an even bigger impact in the years to come.

Since our last Talking Pants, we’ve provided new pants and new & gently worn bras to 12 organisations:

  • 2,640 pairs of pants and bras to ShowerBox who provide free, safe showers for people experiencing homelessness.
  • 80 pairs of pants to Days for Girls for hygiene kits going to Morocco.
  • 160 pairs of pants and bras to SWWOP (Sheffield Working Women’s Opportunities Project) who support to women involved in street prostitution.
  • 255 pairs of pants to Their Voice, a charity supporting survivors of human trafficking and modern slavery.
  • 150 pairs of pants to Refugees Welcome Crawley.
  • 290 pairs of pants to Care4Calais (Slough/Heathrow).
  • 1,795 pairs of pants to Airdrie Community School Uniform Bank.
  • 860 pairs of pants to The School Bank, West Lothian.
  • 320 pairs of pants to Cumbernauld and Kilsyth Care.
  • 84 pants and bras to The Swiss Church in London for the local homeless community and others struggling with living costs.
  • 102 pairs of pants to Turning Point Scotland.
  • 260 pairs of pants to Liberty Project (Liberia) for inclusion in their hygiene kits.

Thanks to you, we were able to provide underwear to Uniform Exchange in Huddersfield recently. The organisation’s Vicky Clegg said, “Big thanks to Smalls for All… We’re so grateful to partner with this amazing charity, who provide underwear to people in need. Thanks to their continued support, we’re able to include underwear in the uniform packs we distribute to families across Kirklees.”

For those local to West Lothian, please come and visit our temporary pop-up shop from the 29th September! We’ll be selling items we receive from people specifically for selling, or items that aren’t suitable to pass on to the people we help or that we don’t collect.  Funds raised will help keep Smalls running and allow us to continue providing underwear to those who need it most.

You can find us at Smalls for All, Five Sisters Business Park, Westwood, West Calder, EH55 8PN. We will be open 10.30am -1.30pm on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday for the w/c 29th September and 6 October only. Pop in and have a browse, we’d love to see you there.

As always, thank you all for supporting Smalls, Maria
