Overall total is 233,758 (and we are still counting)

It’s been a busy month! First of all I’m excited to tell you that I have the opportunity to spend the summer focussing on, running and developing Smalls. Last month my job in financial services came to an end and I was made redundant. Smalls is a huge part of my life and as many people find, there sometimes aren’t enough hours in the day! So whilst I was sad to leave my job, and the great people I worked with, for the first time since Smalls started over 6 years ago, I won’t be juggling Smalls with a full time job and children’s respite caring. I love what I do with Smalls and I am going to take the opportunity, before I have to find another salaried job, to spend some time concentrating on developing our plans and structure as well as getting up to date with the underwear donations and hopefully making a trip to Africa.

You may have seen on facebook or in the press that I featured in the Queen’s birthday honours list and will be receiving a MBE. I never ever thought that the work I was doing with Smalls would be recognised in this way. It’s a real honour and great recognition not just for me but for Smalls and all our pantastic volunteers and supporters without whom, Smalls wouldn’t be where it is today. So thank you all for everything you do for Smalls and I look forward to sharing more on our plans and developments over the coming months.
