Since our last Talking Pants, we’ve provided new pants and new & gently worn bras to 10 organisations:
- 14,000 pairs of pants picked up by National Police Aid Charity for projects in Zambia, Zanzibar, Tanzania and Gambia.
- 775 pairs of pants and bras to ShowerBox, an organisation providing free and secure shower space for the homeless in London.
- 1,920 pairs of pants to Diamonds in the Community, a family clothing bank for the Monklands and greater North Lanarkshire area.
- 350 pairs of pants to the NNLS Destitute Asylum Seekers Drop In, an organisation based in London.
- 214 pairs of pants and bras to Quaker Social Action, an organisation based in London. The underwear will be given as part of one of their projects, Turn a Corner.
- 40 pairs of pants to Days for Girls (Dorchester) for inclusion in hygiene kits going to Tanzania.
- 2,570 pairs of pants and bras to the Airdrie community school uniform bank.
- 795 pairs of pants and bras to Care4Calais, Slough/Heathrow.
- 375 pairs of pants to The Manna Society, a day centre for homeless people based in London.
- 2,000 pairs of pants to The Tumaini Fund Scotland to be included in hygiene kits for women and girls in Kagera, NW Tanzania.
