Thank you to everyone who has registered to be part of the Smalls lottery, we are well on our way to getting the 200 people that we need! If you know of anyone that would be interested in being one of the 200 then please ask them to email [email protected].
Friday 17th was underwear pickup day, thanks to Paul McNeil for picking up 2,300 pairs of pants for Freedom for Fistula Foundation. These pants will be making their way to the ladies in Sierra Leone, Kenya and Malawi. Paul also picked up 1,261 pairs of pants for the children in Kenya. My thanks also to Graham Scott (Touch of Hope) for taking 700 pairs of pants and bras out to Uganda, this underwear will be given to the women and children of Semuto. Touch of Hope had organised a hygiene day where a medical team was going to check out the villagers and hand out ie soap, deworm tablets and of course our underwear. I’m hoping to catch up with Graham soon to hear how Ida and our 4 girls are getting on.
My thanks also to Odyssey Boutique in William Street, Edinburgh. The Odyssey Boutique Bra Amnesty will run in store from 1st to 30th May 2015. Women are invited to bring in as many of their old, badly fitting, unwanted bras as they like. And like for like, Odyssey Boutique will take £10 off the ticket price for every new bra purchased. Customers can opt to donate their saved £10 to Odyssey’s charity of choice Walk the Walk, uniting against breast cancer. While all donated bras will be given to Smalls for All!
On 12 May I’m heading back to Malawi, not been since 2012 so really looking forward to making this trip especially as I will be going with Linda McDonald founder of MUMs and Barbara one of the MUMs trustees. Just a short trip, back the Sunday but will tell you all about it in the next talking pants.
