We need pants!

As you may know, we work with organisations supplying pants for hygiene kits that are given to girls to enable them to go to school every day of the month. This year alone, we’ve supplied 3,100 pairs of black pants for the hygiene kits and our stocks are running low. We need black pants in sizes 8, 8-10 and 10 in full, high leg, midi and mini styles.

Days for Girls UK is one of the organisations that we supply with pants for the kits. Jane Williamson, who heads up Days for Girls UK, said “Our sewers buy all necessary materials to create these kits at some considerable personal cost, having to fundraise to pay the approximate £6.00 per kit for everything needed, which includes 2 pairs of pants per kit. Smalls for All has relieved all of us of this considerable cost so enabling us to make more kits, keeping more girls in school and more women having days of dignity and freedom”.

I hope we can continue to supply Days for Girls UK and the other organisations we support this year. If you could donate a pack of pants, we would be really grateful. As would the girls who receive the kits. Every pant matters!

As ever, our thanks to the pantastic David Scott and the NPAC team for organising the collection of 90,000 new pants and bras on 26 March. Our underwear will be put on 4 containers over the next couple of months heading to Zambia and Malawi. We also supplied a further 1,000 pairs of pants to Days for Girls UK for their reusable feminine hygiene kits which will be distributed to various parts of Africa. And lastly, thanks to Sally Rae and friends for taking new pants and bras to Malawi. They will be distributing the underwear as part of their Easter trip.

For details of where all your donations go, please have a look at our underwear timeline https://www.smallsforall.org/category/pants-timeline/

I’m happy to tell you we’re now opening donations received in March. However, it will be next month before we get to opening donations received in April. If you sent us your email address but haven’t yet received an acknowledgement, please bear with us as we’re still working without electricity!

Thank you so much to everyone who has made an underwear or financial contribution to support the work of Smalls for All. Without you, we wouldn’t be able to do what we do. Please know that we value each and every donation and that your help is making a difference to people’s lives.
