Smalls sorting premises has moved! For those of you that have been following Smalls since last year you will know that West Lothian Council came to the rescue when it became no longer possible for me to work from my home in terms of the volume of donations arriving daily with nowhere to store or sort the underwear. However, I always knew this was a short-term solution and that I’d need to find new premises by March. I will admit this was giving me sleepless nights! But I’m pleased and relieved to tell you that thanks to Centric Projects (www.centricprojects.org) we’re moving to new premises in Livingston! 3 sorting days have been organised so will get the backlog of parcels dealt with as soon as possible, the focus has been on getting the first two shipments of the year ready. Approx 10,000 pairs of pants and bras will be heading to Uganda shortly for Sudanese refugees who are camped out in the Northern region of Uganda, and Freedom from Fistula Foundation and Kenya Children’s Home are due their first batch of pants for the year! Almost 30,000 items of underwear on their way to people who need it.
