Total underwear collected is 728,327.
Congratulations to Sean McFie-Sneddon, winner of the May lottery.
We know you’re getting a lot of these requests at the moment, but we really want to be able to stay in touch with you. I’m sure you’ll have heard about the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) that comes into effect on 25 May 2018. For us to comply with GDPR consent requirements, we need you to confirm you’d still like to hear from us by clicking the link to subscribe so we can continue to send you our Talking Pants updates. Thank you everyone who has subscribed, we really appreciate it as we know you’ll have had lots of requests from various organisations. For those of you who haven’t subscribed, sadly this will be the last Talking Pants that we’ll be sending you.
If you’d still like to receive our Talking Pants update, please click here.
The other change resulting from the new data protection rules is that this will be the last time we’ll be publishing the names of people who have donated underwear and money. I’m so very grateful for each pant, bra and pence – please know that it does make a difference.
It’s been a very busy few weeks! We’ve supplied 1,000 pairs of new pants to Days for Girls UK for their reusable feminine hygiene kits. 10,000 new pants and bras to Roll Out The Barrel trust – the underwear will be given to women and teens inside IDP camps in Somalia. And 54,900 new pants and bras were picked up by NPAC. NPAC will be distributing to those in need in Uganda, Zambia and Malawi. Huge thanks to these organisations for ensuring your donations get to those in need, but thank you also to the Smalls volunteers who worked hard to make sure we met the deadlines for pick up.
