Total underwear collected is 1,413,875

It’s so good to be back! I can’t believe it’s been a month since I wrote the August Talking Pants – time has flown and we’ve certainly been kept busy. We received 2,483 parcels from 1st to 17th September, supplied 6,780 pairs of new pants to 9 organisations, and prepared underwear for NPAC who will be picking up around 60,000 new pants and new and gently worn bras on 29th September.

We’re very fortunate to work with some amazing organisations that enable us to get your donations to those in need. Many of them we’ve worked with for a number of years, but it’s wonderful when we’re able to support new organisations, especially if they’re supporting people in countries that we’ve not previously been able to get underwear to. This month, we’ve supplied 600 pairs of new pants to Liberty4Girls for the first time. They support women and girls in two schools, a rural medical clinic and a village on the outskirts of Monrovia, Liberia. They provide reusable sanitary kits whilst delivering menstrual health education. For details of where the underwear has gone this month, please look at our underwear timeline.
